Lorde’s genre defying sound and intelligent, introspective lyrics have helped her to redefine pop – merging poetic storytelling with emotionally resonant production on albums which have notched up 18 million sales worldwide.
After rising to fame as a teenager with her 2013 debut Pure Heroine – which included her global hit Royals – the New Zealander has gone on to release two critically acclaimed albums Melodrama and Solar Power.
The success of her hit single What Was That in April saw a return to the limelight after four years – closely followed by the release of her fourth studio album Virgin.
Meanwhile British singer-songwriter PinkPantheress has also had a good year.
Born in Bath and raised in Kent, after rising to viral fame on TikTok in 2021, she released her debut mixtape To Hell With It and was hailed as one of the UK’s most exciting new artists.
She notched up a global hit with Boy’s A Liar Pt 2 with Ice Spice on her 2023 debut album Heaven Knows.
This year she was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize for her second mixtape, Fancy That, and earned her first GRAMMY nomination for the track Illegal in the category of Best Dance Pop Recording.
And Swedish singer-songwriter Zara Larsson is fresh off the back of her global Midnight Sun Tour, to promote her album of the same name. She’s known for her sleek blend of R&B and club-influenced dance-pop inspired by artists like Rihanna and Robyn.
Lorde joins previously announced All Points East 2026 headliners Tyler, The Creator, and Deftones with more big names to come.
The festival runs over two big weekends in August in Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets.
Tickets for Lorde’s All Points East headline show go on general sale on Thursday, November 20 at www.allpointseastfestival.com
