The authority announced its intentions to amend existing rules and implement new ones for bus and cycle lanes in Longbridge Road.
This action is being taken under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Highways Act 1980, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis.
The changes include extending the operating hours and length of the current bus lane, which currently allows buses, cycles, and taxis only from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 10am.
The proposed amendment will extend the hours to 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday, for local buses, cycles and taxis only, and will increase the length of the lane at specific locations.

In addition to these changes, a new bus lane will be introduced in Longbridge Road at various points on the north, south, and north-west sides, running between certain property boundaries.
A new cycle track will also be introduced on the grass verge adjacent to the carriageway on the north-west side of Longbridge Road.
This track will run for 282 metres in a north-easterly direction from a point 37.44 metres south-west of its junction with Waterside Close.
The existing cycle track on the south-east side of Longbridge Road will be amended to run for 139 metres in a south-westerly direction from a point 15.74 metres south-east of its junction with Waterside Close.
