The Esso petrol station and Tesco Express store in London Road has shut temporarily whilst works are carried out.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “The Brentwood Esso petrol filling station and Express store is currently closed for refurbishment.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming customers back after the works are completed later this year.”

The refurbishment will include updates to the forecourt, canopy and petrol pumps.
Tesco also confirmed that the nearby Express store in High Street is open as normal.
The supermarket chain did not confirm a reopening date when commenting.
But the Tesco website said: “We’ve closed this store until November 20, 2025 to make improvements.”
