The Metropolitan Police was called at 5.53am this morning (August 25) with reports of a fight in London Road.
Officers were dispatched to the scene, where they discovered a man in his 20s suffering from injuries.
He was taken to hospital where he remains at this time.
His condition has been confirmed as non-life threatening.
Nearby, Linton Road has been closed for seven hours since around 6.30am this morning in connection to the police incident.
Buses have been placed on diversion and there have been no arrests at this stage.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of a man who had been assaulted during an altercation in London Road, Barking at 0553hrs on Monday, 25 August.

“A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where he remains.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”
