Ms Clarke visited Mapesbury School on Walm Lane, Cricklewood, as part of a special ceremony to mark the official opening of the specialist primary and secondary school.
She said: “I have really enjoyed my visit to Mapesbury School.
“The children have been so incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic and asked some brilliant questions.
“The school is really warm and welcoming and I know it’s a place where the pupils will really thrive.”
The event included a ribbon-cutting, as well as fitness sessions, activities, and an assembly led by Ms Clarke.
The visit was arranged through ActivKids UK.
Mapesbury School, which opened earlier this year, is part of the Kedleston Group and offers up to 54 places for children aged seven to 16.
It supports pupils who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and who are autistic or have social, interaction, and communication needs.
The school’s name comes from the nearby Mapesbury Dell, a well-known community park and garden.
Headteacher Adam De Vecchi said: “We would like to thank everyone who joined us for our official opening, it was wonderful to bring everyone together to celebrate all we have achieved at Mapesbury School so far.
“Since we opened, we have been thrilled to welcome pupils from across London.”
The school features specially designed facilities, including sensory rooms, a therapeutic hub, and a multi-activity games area.
It also offers outdoor space with state-of-the-art play equipment.
Pupils learn in classes of no more than six, in an environment tailored for children who have not made progress in mainstream settings.
Mr De Vecchi said: “We offer places for children and young people who have not made progress in mainstream settings and who need a small, nurturing environment, with small class sizes and access to the therapies they need and which are in their EHCPs.
“We look forward to continuing to welcome more pupils and their families in the coming months and to being a valuable resource for the North London community.”
