Lina Stores opened a new branch in Crossrail Place on June 9 and it’s the chain’s first London store to bring together a restaurant, delicatessen and cocktail bar in one location.

The Canary Wharf branch marks its 11th site in England and 10th in London alone.

A spokesperson for Lina Stores said: “Continuing to celebrate the very best Italian produce combined with the authentic dining experience Lina Stores is known for, the 100-cover Canary Wharf restaurant will open for lunch and dinner every day of the week.

“The delicatessen is bordered by timber shelves, piled high with the very best Italian pantry essentials and products from the Lina Stores collection including Sicilian extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar from Modena, prosecco from Treviso and traditional Italian biscotti.”

The first Lina Stores branch was opened in Soho in 1944 and in 2018, the firm teamed up with head chef Masha Rener and opened its first restaurant only around the corner.

“Bar Lina’s monochromatic glossy, dark red colour scheme will transport guests to 1970’s Italy with a backlit onyx bar illuminating the space.

“Seating 76, the bar will be open from aperitivo hour and continue on late into the night.”

The latest additions to Lina Stores’ portfolio include a bar and restaurant which opened in Shoreditch in 2024 and Lina Stores Manchester in April this year.

Through a separate door, a private dining room will seat 10 guests -“perfect for business meetings in the city,” according to the chain’s spokesperson.

Masha added: “We are very excited to bring the full Lina Stores experience to Canary Wharf – from takeaway salads, panini, breakfast and coffee from our delicatessen, to a leisurely dinner at our restaurant and late-night drinks at Bar Lina.

“Canary Wharf is a hub for some of the best restaurants in London and we feel that Lina Stores will be in great company.”
