Lime Academy Forest Approach, in Settle Road, has submitted a planning application for a new temporary school building containing two classrooms, two toilets, two storage rooms and a lobby.
Planning documents reveal that the structure would be demountable – meaning it could be easily assembled and dismantled – however there is no mention of proposed materials.
The building would be placed on what is currently an outdoor play area, behind an existing Portacabin on the site.

Each classroom would measure 64 metres sq, according to the plans, while the structure would also have ramped access.
The proposals have been put forward with the aim of accommodating up to 15 more pupils, as part of the school’s “long-term strategy to regain its 150 learner capacity”.
Lime Academy Forest Approach originally catered for 150 pupils, but this intake was reduced “in line with modern space standards”, the planning documents say.
Havering Council is expected to make a decision on the plans by November 26.
However, the plans detail that the classrooms would be installed during the October school holiday and remain on the site for around three years.
