All major supermarkets, including Aldi, Tesco, Morrisons, and Asda, offer their own reusable shopping bags, often called a ‘Bag for Life’.
Prices for these bags range from 60p at Morrisons to 40p at Aldi (and other supermarkets).
Tesco increased the price of its Bag for Life from 30p to 40p back in October.

Lidl increases price of carrier bags by 10p
Lidl has now increased the price of its flexi-loop carrier bags by 10p, from 30p to 40p.
A spokesperson for the supermaket explained the increase was to align its prices with the wider industry.
Lidl said it always encourages customers to reuse bags whenever possible, and if they can no longer use their flexi-loop carrier bag, shoppers can request a free replacement.

Lidl shoppers slam “ridiculous” 10p increase for carrier bags
Lidl’s decision to increase the price of its flexi-loop carrier bags has been met with mixed opinion.
Many have been left outraged, labelling the decision a “joke”.
One person, posting on Reddit group r/Lidl , said: “I remember when it was like 5/10p?! What a joke. Soon it will be a pound.”
Another added: “It’s ridiculous at this point. Bags were supposed to be 5p. That was bad enough. But try finding a bag for 5p.”
While a third shopper described the new 40p price tag for a carrier bag a “total Rip-off”.
But not everyone disagreed with the price increase, with some pointing out other supermarkets charge at least 20p more, or the fact that the bags last “for life”.

A Reddit user, posting on the same Lidl thread, posted: “Unpopular opinion but I think they should be more expensive.
“They were never meant to be treated as disposable bags and yet people like my mum use them as rubbish bags.
“Make them £1/£2 even £3 each and people will think twice.”
Another commented: “I think everyone forgets it’s a bag for life. If it breaks, you take it back and they give you a new one for free. It’s 40p for a lifetime bag.
“Everyone complains because they just treat them as disposable. The cost is meant to discourage buying them every shop.”
