Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters have been tackling the fire in Ley Street since around 4.10pm today (December 10).
The roof and first floor of the two-storey property are alight.

Footage from the scene shows a major emergency services presence as the incident is being dealt with.
Firefighters from Ilford, Dagenham, Barking and surrounding fire stations are currently on the scene.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters are tackling a fire at a terraced house on Ley Street in Ilford.
“The roof and first floor of the two storey property are alight.
“Control Officers took the first of 23 calls regarding the fire at 1609 and mobilised crews from Ilford, Dagenham, Barking and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
“The cause of the fire is not yet known.”
