The incident happened at the station inStation Road at around 3.30pm yesterday (September 16).
Officers arrested the man in connection with the incident.
Members of the public reported seeing a heavy police presence in Molesworth Street, near Lewisham Shopping Centre, following the fight.
The British Transport Police has not clarified whether any injuries have been reported from this incident.
A spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Lewisham railway station at around 3.30pm yesterday (16 September) following reports of a fight on the platform.
“Officers attended and a man was arrested in connection.”
