Lella Castello Branco, known for her contemporary work, will be part of this esteemed event, which is set to take place at Chelsea Old Town Hall from July 16 to July 20.

The London Art Biennale, now in its seventh edition, will feature 350 creative talents from 60 countries.

The event is organised in collaboration with Chelsea’s historic Gagliardi Gallery and curated by an international panel led by Peter Gagliardi.

Lella will present Adam, a bronze sculpture that explores the origin of life and the interconnection of generations in an ever-advancing civilisation.

The piece also prompts reflection on the transience of life and the transmission of knowledge through the ages.

Lella’s work is known for its natural and geometric forms, which are both poetic and elegant.

Using a combination of materials such as bronze and aluminium, she creates insightful pieces that aim to connect people.

A principal theme in her work is freedom in all its aspects.

She often paints and sculpts birds for their symbolism and as a reminder of freedom’s fragility and the need to be treasured and protected.

Lella has had large-scale solo exhibitions in Italy, Portugal, and Brazil, and her sculptures are part of private collections in England, Brazil, the USA, Switzerland, and Egypt.
