Le Coq Epicier put forward a premises licence on October 22 to sell alcohol at 6 Flask Walk.
The shop, which is already established by selling products online as well as in a store at Camden Passage in Islington, says that the premises will be exclusively or primarily used to sell alcoholic drinks.
Similar to its Camden Passage shop, applicant Yohann Meignen wants the Flask Lane to not be open on Mondays.
Instead, it would allow customers from 10am to 7.30pm from Tuesday and Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sundays.
During the summer months, the closing time will be extended to 8pm from Tuesday to Saturday.
It is intended that alcohol could be consumed both on and off the premises.
Plans submitted to Camden Council illustrate that the shop is on the ground floor, all on one level with no steps or elevation.
According to its website, Le Coq Epicier is a “French fine épicerie” that has selected “high quality products from French producers”.
When an application was made to sell wines in Islington, some neighbours objected to it on the grounds of the number of food and drink outlets opening in the famous antiques street.
Anyone wishing to make a representation in relation to this application must give notice in writing by 19/11/2025 to: Licensing Team, Camden Town Hall, Judd Street, London WC1H 9JE.
