Michael Dixon, 54, rushed to defend his boy after he allegedly was threatened to be stabbed by a group of teenagers last week Tuesday (December 2).
His son was at Langley Park School for Boys when it was claimed that a dispute led to the group of teens threatening they would stab him.
Mr Dixon said his concerned son called him about the warning.
The dad recalled: “I work in Bromley, so I said I’ll come around lunchtime and won’t engage, I’ll just sit around 100 metres away and see what goes on.”
While sat in his car at Eden Park, he claims he saw his son enter a shop peacefully, but later a bunch of kids called his name.
It’s claimed that one person grabbed his son and pushed him “over the side of the car”.
“I’ve never been so terrified in my life,” Mr Dixon said.
The father then rushed over and grabbed one of the boys to intervene, but he was overpowered as the group huddled around him and then began to attack him.
“I thought I need to get my son out of the way, if anyone’s going to be stabbed it’s going to be me,” he explained.

A knife was never pulled out during the incident, but there was allegedly the threat of a weapon as it seemed one teen was holding onto something in their coat.
Instead, Mr Dixon is said to have been repeatedly punched in the back of the head.
Footage seen by the News Shopper shows at least six kids surrounding Mr Dixon, as they grabbed onto him.
One person is heard shouting: “I’m going to bang you in the face.”
Two builders then went over to disrupt the brawl, but the incident kept going on.
It was unclear whether any of these teens possessed a knife.
Mr Dixon said: “Was he holding, was he not holding? I don’t know.
“But the threat was there, hence why I went down there.
“If I had been stabbed three or four times with my son, it’s a different story we could be telling.”

Police were then called, but according to the dad they took around an hour and a half to attend the scene.
This incident was also raised to staff at the school, but the father was not pleased as he claimed police and teachers did not detain the suspect kids until police arrived to search them for weapons.
He questioned: “What if they did actually have a knife?
“This is Langley Park for Boys, one of the best schools in our borough.”
Following the attack, his son has been dreading to go to school, with the dad also believing that either of them “could’ve been killed”.
The parents are upset over the lack of action from the school to deter any further violence from happening.
In fact, Mr Dixon believes that an appropriate response would only have been taken had the incident been fatal.
“He then becomes a statistic, but prevention is better than a cure,” he said.
The dad concluded: “This is one of the best areas in Bromley and this is what’s happening on our doorstep, and everyone’s frightened to say anything.”
What has been done since?
Since the horrific fight, the incident has been brought to the attention of Liam Conlon, MP for Beckenham and Penge.
Mr Conlon said: “I am aware of this incident and have spoken both to the family involved and the school. I have also heard from the police about their investigation.
“Whilst I wish the family well, given there is a live on-going police investigation, I am unable to comment further at this time.”
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police are investigating reports of an assault that occurred in Upper Elmers End Road, Bromley on the evening of Tuesday, 2 December.
“It’s believed a man in his 50s was involved in an altercation with a group of six boys aged between 15 and 16 outside a school.
“The London Ambulance Service did not attend as there were no reports of injuries.
“While no arrests have been made at this stage, local officers are conducting enquiries, which includes gathering CCTV and speaking with witnesses.
“If anyone has any information relating to the incident, please contact 101 and quote 01/8274172/25.”
Langley Park School for Boys was approached over a week ago for comment, but the News Shopper has had no response.
