The award-winning shot was captured by 35-year-old Yadong Niu, who has lived at Hendon Waterside since August and was chosen by a panel of judges for first place in Barratt London’s nature photography competition at Hendon Waterside.
Mr Niu said: “The photo I submitted was taken during sunset, when the sky was ablaze with colour.
“The reflection on the lake beautifully magnified the glow of the clouds, creating a stunning scene.
“A group of Canada geese floating across the water, set against the backdrop of distant high-rise buildings added to the sense of harmony and serenity.
“The wildlife, lake, trees, and architecture all represent what Hendon Waterside means to me – a true blend of community and nature.”

Daniel Farenden, projects director for Barratt London, said: “We wanted to give our residents the opportunity to explore and connect with the natural beauty of our development.
“It was amazing to see all the photo submissions, and it was no easy feat to choose just one winner.
“We’re looking forward to displaying the photos and showing all that Hendon Waterside has to offer for our residents and local nature alike.”
Hendon Waterside is part of Barnet’s £9.6 billion regeneration and offers more than 170 hectares of green space, including nature trails and woodlands.
One-bedroom apartments at the development start from £375,000.
The project also features on-site amenities such as playgrounds, a Co-op supermarket, and a dental clinic.
