Cordons are in place in Chessington Road and Kingston Road, near to The Wheatsheaf pub, following an incident earlier today (December 9) at around 3.30pm.
Emergency services are still at the scene, with police expected to stay overnight.
The roads are currently shut in both directions as the investigation takes place.
However the nature of the incident has not been shared at this time.
Surrey Police has said: “While we know this will cause concern within the local community, we ask you to be patient and cooperate with us while we deal with the incident.”
