Commuters looking to get home from Kings Cross on May 1 were asked to exit the station after reports of an emergency incident shortly after 7pm.
Automated messages were played out over speakers, saying: “Due to a reported emergency, all customers must leave the station immediately”.
A crew from Euston Fire Station was dispatched to the scene in response to the automatic fire alarm having been triggered.
The venue was searched but there were no signs of a fire, allowing the station to be reopened to customers at around 7.30pm.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters from Euston Fire Station responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at Kings Cross Railway Station.
“Station staff evacuated the building as a precaution, whilst a systematic search of the building was carried out by the Brigade. No signs of a fire were detected.
“The Brigade was first called about the incident at 1904, and crews left the scene by 1951.”
