The Mental Health Arts, Music and Film Festival will take place at the Kiln Cinema in Kilburn High Road on Tuesday, September 23, from 2pm to 7pm.
Organised by Ashford Place, the free event aims to celebrate resilience and community spirit, while exploring the powerful role of the arts in supporting mental wellbeing.
A spokesman for the event said: “This year’s festival is not just an afternoon of entertainment — it’s a public platform for change.
“It’s a space to challenge stigma, spark dialogue, and build community through shared stories and artistic expression.”
The programme includes short films, spoken word, poetry, live music, and visual art, with all contributions from artists who have lived experience of mental health challenges.
Many of the artists are based in Brent.
The festival aims to highlight the value of creativity, especially at a time when statutory mental health services are under strain or disappearing.
Attendees will also have the chance to connect with mental health advocates and creatives.
The event is open to all, including residents, professionals, and anyone interested in the intersection of mental health and the arts.
Free tickets can be reserved via Eventbrite.
