The 19-year-old was attacked with a knife on Kilburn High Road, at the junction of Messina Avenue, on Thursday (July 31) at 3.10pm.
He was taken to hospital, where at the time his injuries were assessed as life-threatening.
In a new update, the Metropolitan Police has shared that his injuries are no longer life-threatening and are not life changing.
Kilburn High Road was cordoned off while a London Air Ambulance also landed near to the scene at Kilburn Grange Park.
London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.10pm on Thursday (31 July) to reports of a stabbing on Kilburn High Road, NW6.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and a paramedic from our tactical response unit. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man for stab wounds and took him to a major trauma centre.”
