The Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards, focusing on Bexley and Bromley, are now accepting entries for those who have made a difference in schools, businesses, communities, and families.
The awards highlight acts of kindness, staff wellbeing improvements, and targeted mental health initiatives.
With the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, the role of these supporters is increasingly vital in helping communities cope.
Organised by East Kent Mind, the awards ceremony will take place in October, in collaboration with a range of wellbeing and mental health organisations.
The awards feature multiple categories, including veterans, seniors, partnership projects, and suicide prevention.
There are also awards for wellbeing initiatives in schools, workplaces, physical activity projects, charity fundraising, and wellbeing communication campaigns.
The Wellbeing Space of the Year award invites nominations for indoor calm zones, gardening groups, forest schools, and eco-projects.
The event is backed by partners SouthEastern and GrainLNG, and receives support from Kent County Council, Kent Community Foundation, Paramount Foundation, MTS Cleansing, WillowBank Education, ADM Computing, Medway Council, Cactus Graphics, Ble Global, Ashford International Hotel, and CommunityAd.
Nominations will be accepted from the Kent, Medway, Bexley, and Bromley areas.
The deadline for submissions is 12pm on September 1, 2025.
You can submit your nominations at www.kentmentalwellbeingawards.org.uk.
In a call to action to the community, a spokesperson said: “Whether it is in your school, business, community or family, so many of us have been lucky to have people and organisations with ideas, tips, and tactics to help us cope – it is time to celebrate those wellbeing champions in our community and share this best practice.”
