The incident happened in Kennington Lane near Loughborough Street at 8.25am today (April 3).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found the rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.
Closures were put in place between Loughborough Street and St Oswald’s Place as the incident was dealt with.
However, all diversions have since been lifted.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “The London Ambulance Service called officers to a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Kennington Lane, Vauxhall at 08:25hrs on Thursday, 3 April.
“The driver of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, was treated at the scene by paramedics and was taken to hospital for further assessment of his injuries.
“His condition is confirmed to be non-life-threatening or non-life-changing.
“No arrests have been made at this stage. Kennington Road is reopen.”
