More than 100 mourners gathered at Christ Church Greenwich, in Trafalgar Road, today (March 12) in memory of Kelyan Bokassa.
The boy was onboard a 472 bus in Woolwich Church Street on January 7, just before 2.30pm, when he was stabbed around 27 times, the Old Bailey heard.
Kelyan, an aspiring rapper, had sustained a severed femoral artery and died shortly after medics arrived at the scene.
At 11am at the church, a service was carried out to honour Kelyan.
Marie Bokassa, Kelyan’s mother, made a touching speech in her eulogy.
According to the BBC, the grieving mum said: “He was not just my child, to many he was a protector and a loyal friend.
“He nurtured his friendships fiercely, always putting his friends first and ensuring they felt safe and valued.”

Two teenage boys who cannot be named for legal reasons, aged 15 and 16, have been charged with murder on January 20.
A plea hearing was set for 14 April and a trial at the same court was provisionally set for 13 October.
