The Metropolitan Police has confirmed today (January 13) that there have been no arrests in connection with the murder investigation.
Officers were dispatched shortly after 2.30pm on January 7 to Woolwich Church Street, following reports of a stabbing.
At the scene, 14-year-old Kelyan was found injured and died at the scene.
His death was the second stabbing-related incident known of in Woolwich within a 24 hour window, with an 18-year-old suffering critical injuries after being stabbed in Prince Imperial Road.
According to his mother Mary Bokassa, Kelyan had been “targeted” and “groomed” by gangs from the age of six after having a difficult start to life.
The aspiring rapper had previously been taken into care but had run away to London, where he then spent a year living on the streets.
The 14-year-old had begun to get embroiled with the law and was due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court the day after his murder, charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
Court documents reveal that he had allegedly been in possession of a machete at Ravensbourne College on May 3, 2024.
A recently posted music video called ‘Bangers N Mash’ under his tagline of ‘Grippa’, showed the young teen throw gang signs and motion as if holding a gun and blade.
In the lyrics he rapped: “I’m the shortest shooter on my block, but I still roll with the longest ting”.

In the days following his death sickening rap lyrics have been posted online, describing the attack on the bus.
It is feared his murder is another tragedy linked to brutal gang turf wars in the area.
