The former Late Late Show host, who returned to the UK after his stint in Los Angeles, reportedly moved into the £11.5 million property in North West London over Christmas with his wife Julia Carey and their three children, Max, 13, Carey, 10, and seven-year-old Charlotte.
Neighbours have reportedly claimed their peaceful community is being disrupted by the sound of drums coming from his mansion.
The Daily Mail reported that Hampstead film star Helena Bonham Carter was among those living in the exclusive neighbourhood.
At least 18 objections have been lodged with Camden Council planning officers regarding Corden’s proposed renovations, which include a large “garden room” at the bottom of the family’s extensive garden.
This outbuilding is said to be roughly the size of a one-bedroom flat and is raising concerns among neighbours, not only for its size but also for the potential increase in noise.
In a formal complaint, one neighbour stated: “One of them plays the drums.
“It can often be heard on my terrace and occasionally inside my flat, even with the windows closed.
“What happens if they decide to move the drum kit out of the house and put it in the den?”
The identity of the drummer remains unknown, but the noise complaints have resonated with several residents.
They fear the proposed outbuilding, which includes a sauna, gym, kitchen, office/den, and terrace, could mean even more disruption.
Another objector reportedly warned planners: “This new structure threatens not just to intrude on this peaceful green space but to constitute an eyesore.”
A third added: “Remove the word gym from the plan and replace it with bedroom and you’d have a nice little bungalow.”
The Corden family has undertaken major work on their properties before.
They previously received approval to demolish a 1960s property near Henley, and installed a spiral staircase and interior balcony at the rear of their North West London mansion.
