Police were called just after 12am today (October 15) to reports of a fight between several men on Essex Road.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 17-year-old boy for stab wounds before taking him to hospital.
His condition is believed to be life-threatening.
Before police arrived on scene, a separate 17-year-old boy self-presented at hospital, also with stab wounds.
Officers believe he was assaulted on Essex Road.
His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
No arrests have been made at this stage, and a crime scene remains in place.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “We understand the concern this has caused in the community and people can expect to see an increased police presence in the area.”
