The Live ‘25 tour kicked off in Cardiff last Friday and the band play a homecoming gig in Manchester tonight (Friday, July 11) before moving on to Wembley on July 25.
But the Gallagher brothers have long had homes in North London and have links to many pubs and venues in the area.
To celebrate the tour, Big Brother Recordings have launched the Oasis Live ‘25 Map Experience – a digital companion for their many fans across the world.
Built with Google Maps, the immersive, interactive location-based app brings landmarks associated with Oasis’ history to life across all cities of the tour.
Stops in London include Air Studios in Hampstead, where Oasis recorded parts of their album Be Here Now, and the famous Abbey Road Studios in St John’s Wood where they recorded their seventh album Dig Out Your Soul.
The base for Creation Records in Westgate Street, Hackney, whose founder Alan McGee signed the band in 1993, is listed as an “iconic haunt”.
The Little By Little video shoot took place in Lackington Street, Islington, the Cigarettes and Alcohol artwork features the Halcyon Hotel in Holland Park, and The Columbia Hotel in Lancaster Gate was the site of another iconic photoshoot by Michael Spencer Jones.
Meanwhile two North London pubs make it into the map – the Sir Richard Steele in Haverstock Hill, around the corner from Noel’s former home Supernova Heights was a drinking spot, and The Good Mixer in Camden Town was another place where the band liked to hang out.
Fans can explore each tour stop through curated hotspots including legendary local music venues they’ve played to iconic bars, and official merch outlets.
The platform also offers real-time geo-locations when users are physically present in the host cities including AR experiences with exclusive content.
Fans are also invited to capture their journey and share their excitement using YouTube Shorts, with the chance to have their videos featured directly on the Live ‘25 Map Experience and the official Oasis YouTube Channel.
The web app is available at live25.oasisinet.com and will accompany Oasis fans throughout the landmark Live ‘25 tour.
