The Recorder is joining forces with Barkingside and Redbridge Rotary Club and looking to shine a spotlight on inspirational members of the borough aged up to 25.
The Recorder/Rotary Young Citizen Awards will be handed out as part of the Mayor of Redbridge’s Awards, usually held at Redbridge Town Hall in March.
Eve Conway, co-founder of the awards and Rotary International director 2023-25, said: “We are delighted to be joining together again for the Recorder/Rotary Young Citizen Awards to recognise inspirational young role models who are doing good in the world.
“Hundreds of local young superheroes have been acknowledged since these awards were launched in 2008.”
Eve is also a member of Barkingside and Redbridge Rotary Club, who will give £100 to the overall winner.
The winner and runner-up will also be put forward for the Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland Young Citizen Awards.
Recorder digital audience and content editor Michael Cox said: “It is wonderful each year to hear the amazing stories of young people from the borough influencing the world in a positive way.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Rotary again and urge nominations to be put forward.”
