Crews arrived at Hunters Chase around 3.15pm on April 21 where a fire had started in a garage.
A resident is believed to have been making wax candles in the garage, causing the fire.
The flames to spread to three cars, a summer house, a shed and a fence.
While the house was unaffected, the resident suffered minor burns and was treated by the ambulance service.(Image: Essex Fire and Rescue)
Station Manager Rick Williams said: “Crews did a good job to stop the fire from spreading to the house.
“We believe the fire started because the resident was making wax candles in the garage.
“This contained a number of flammable items and cylinders which caused the fire to spread quickly.”
Firefighters from Billericay, Brentwood, Basildon, Wickford, and Corringham helped to tackle the fire.
