The incident happened near the junction of Caledonian Road and Camden Road at 1.30pm yesterday (April 2).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found two teenagers who were stabbed.
They were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where their conditions were not known.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (April 3) that their injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “An investigation has been launched after two teenage boys were stabbed outside an address in Camden Road, Islington at 13:33hrs on Tuesday, 2 April.
“The boys – both aged 17 – were treated at the scene and taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
“They remain there for treatment and we await an update on injuries and condition.
“No arrests have been made at this stage. Camden Road is closed – please avoid the area to minimise congestion.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.30pm today (2 April) to reports of a stabbing on Caledonian Road, Islington.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and a paramedic from our tactical response unit.
“Our first paramedic arrived on scene in five minutes.
“We treated two people at the scene. We took one patient to a major trauma centre and the other patient to a local hospital as a priority.”
