Officers from the Metropolitan Police were patrolling High Road at around 6.31am on August 24, when they made the discovery.
The woman’s death is being treated as unexpected at this time and enquiries are ongoing.
A crime scene is still in place.
Police have not shared details regarding the woman’s age and it is unclear at this stage if she has been identified.

A spokesperson for the Met said: “Police patrolling in the High Road area, Tottenham discovered a deceased woman at 0631hrs on Sunday, 24 August.
“Her death is being treated as unexpected at this time. Enquiries are ongoing and a crime scene remains in place.”
