The incident happened outside Heron Tower in Bishopgate just before 2.10pm today (March 27).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended, however, the person was pronounced dead.
Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The death is being treated as non-suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson for City of London Police said: “Officers were called at 2.07pm to reports of a person fallen from height on Bishopsgate in the City of London.
“Sadly, they were pronounced dead at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
“The next of kin has been informed and officers are providing support.
“The death is being treated as non-suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
