The crash happened this morning (January 1) at around 10:15am on Herne Hill Road in Brixton.
Firefighters were called to the scene after the car caught fire following a crash with two parked vehicles.
The scene was attended by firefighters and an engine from Brixton Fire Station.
According to AA Maps the road was blocked both ways between Denmark Hill and Ferndene Road with the P4 bus route diverted.
The incident has since been removed from AA Maps with no further diversions advised in the area.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters were called at 1015 this morning to reports of a car on fire on Herne Hill Road, SE24.
“The fire occurred following a collision between the car and two parked vehicles.
“A fire engine from Brixton Fire Station attended the scene.”
