Havering Council announced that it has secured sponsorship to ensure every town centre will be lit up for the festive season.
Marlborough Highways, along with new sponsors Elm Site Services and AJS, have pledged to fund the decorations.

The council will supplement the sponsorship funds with money from the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy.
Council leader Ray Morgon said the authority’s financial challenges, including government funding reductions, have made it impossible to fully fund Christmas festivities and decorations.
The Recorder previously reported the council admitting it did “not have the funding” for Christmas events or lighting across the borough’s high streets.
Councillor Morgon said: “It is great news that we have managed to secure the sponsorship needed to support Christmas in our town centres.
“My sincere thanks to Marlborough Highways and the two other local businesses Elm Site Services and AJS who have also stepped in.
“Along with additional money from our Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) – together we have ensured Havering can still celebrate Christmas.”
He acknowledged the importance of maintaining festive cheer for community spirit and to support local businesses.
Nick Reading, operations director at Marlborough Highways, said: “This year, we are once again thrilled to contribute towards the council’s festive celebrations, helping bring holiday cheer to residents and visitors alike.”
Mick Steel, director of Elm Site Services, added: “Elm Site Services are pleased to be able to help bring some joy to Havering town centres and high streets this year by sponsoring the lights and trees.
“We hope all the residents enjoy them and we hope the businesses in the town centres and high streets benefit from having them.”
Last year, the council cancelled the Christmas light switch-on in Romford Market Place and cut funding for Christmas trees and lights due to “urgent” budget cuts.
Marlborough Highways donated £20,000 to help fund festivities.
