The plan is one of various applications received by Havering Council between December 31 last year and January 6.
All of the planning applications will be reviewed by the council before any final decisions are made.
One applicant has asked to add an additional two floors to a three-storey building in Moor Lane, Upminster (J0043.24).
The existing building consists of retail units on the ground floor with residential flats above.
Eight new flats would be created if planning permission is granted for the proposed extension.
In Station Road, there are plans to convert office space into a one-bedroom maisonette (P1680.24).
A retrospective planning application seeks approval to partially demolish and rebuild a semi-detached bungalow in Gorden Avenue, Hornchurch (P1631.24).
Plans to build a 20-metre high telephone mast in Collier Row have also been submitted (M0007.24).
The installation would be in Prospect Place and an application has been put forward by Cornerstone, a telecoms company who works with the likes of Vodafone, O2, EE and Three.
A new three bedroom home could also be built in Glebe Road, Rainham (P1557.24).
