Harrow School is seeking permission to carry out repairs on the windows and masonry walls of Deyne Court, a Grade II listed property in Harrow Park.
The application was submitted to Harrow Council on Wednesday, December 17 and proposes window repairs and conservation works to existing masonry walls, including cleaning of walls.
Scaffolding would also be erected and tied to the structure as part of the works.
Julia Benwell Froggatt of Harrow School is listed as the applicant, with Barker Associates (Essex) Limited acting as the agent.
The repairs cover both windows and masonry.
Plans include cleaning the masonry, repairing the windows, and using “like for like” timber materials.
In the planning application, the school and its agent state: “This application relates to additional works required and not included within the previous approvals.”
The new proposals do not involve any demolition and are focused on external repairs.
A full set of supporting plans has been submitted, including existing and proposed floor layouts, elevations, and sections.
The design and access statement and drawings have been submitted.
Deyne Court, which is part of the Harrow School estate, is expected to receive a decision from Harrow Council by Wednesday, February 11 unless further information is requested.
No request for an extension of time has been submitted.
Harrow School owns several listed properties on its grounds and regularly carries out repair work to preserve the historic estate.
The application remains under “pending consideration” status.
