Harris Rainham Sixth Form in Wennington Road was visited by inspectors in February, with the results published online on March 26.
Monitoring visits are conducted at all newly directed funded providers of education, and observes progress across a number of key areas.
In terms of progress made in “designing and delivering relevant education programmes that have a clearly defined purpose”, Ofsted found they have made “significant progress”.
The inspector reported that the purpose and ethos of the sixth form has been “firmly established”, with leaders having “quickly implemented a coherent curriculum”.
The programmes on offer have been described as “challenging” but “carefully combines A-level and vocational qualifications with extensive academic enrichment”.
The school has also been praised for its “logical balance” of university, apprenticeship and careers guidance.
Ofsted found students are able to access events including careers fairs, CV writing, interview preparation and impartial careers advice by qualified advisors.
Significant progress was also reported in the safeguarding arrangements at Harris Rainham Sixth Form, where there is a “strong culture of safeguarding”.

The inspector highlighted the coverage of local risks as well as relevant issues affecting young people, which they have reported as being done “exceptionally well” and thoroughly.
Safeguarding of students see them taught about the risks of being drawn into dangerous ideologies and how to protect themselves from harmful content, Ofsted said.
Teachers are described as “well-trained subject experts” who give detailed feedback on work and ease students in to topics that results in the class being “curious and interested in lessons and able to pick up new concepts quickly”.
