Emergency vehicles are using Drapers’ Academy and Settle Road as an “accessible base”, the school has said.
The incident is not at the school but occurring at another location with the school emphasising there is no risk to pupils.
The nature of the incident is not yet clear but Met Police and other emergency services have been contacted for more information.
Police vehicles have been pictured on other surrounding roads, including Dagnam Park Drive and Petersfield Avenue.
A school spokesperson said: “Drapers’ Academy is currently being used by emergency services as an accessible base, in response to an incident elsewhere.
“As such there are a number of Emergency Response vehicles parked on Settle Road.
“There is no risk to pupils or staff – the incident is occurring elsewhere. School will be open as normal tomorrow.”
