Michelle Sadio, was found seriously injured and pronounced dead shortly after gunshots were fired in Gilford Road on December 14.
She had been standing outside the River of Life Elim Pentecostal Church after a wake at the time.
The Metropolitan Police said a man, 18, has been arrested today (January 8) on suspicion of Michelle’s murder and remains in custody.
Two men, both in their 30s, also were shot.
One of the men remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition, while the other has been discharged.
Shots were reportedly fired from a black Kia Niro with distinctive alloys, with the number plate LA23 XRE.
It was abandoned the same day on Barnhill Road and set alight – with scorch marks left behind at the Quainton Street Open Space, near to the River Brent and Blackbird Hill.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Clarke who leads the investigation said: “While this arrest marks a significant step forward in this investigation we continue to appeal for anyone with information about Michelle’s murder to come forward and speak to us.
“This was senseless act of violence that resulted in an innocent woman being killed. Michelle’s family continue to grieve and we are determined to ensure those responsible face the consequences of their actions.
