The data gives each school a score to show how much progress students made between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4.
In the Progress 8 system, a score of zero is effectively average and means a school’s pupils progressed in line with the average rate for other children across the country who achieved similar results at the end of Key Stage 2.
A score above zero means that school’s pupils have progressed more, and a score below zero means that pupils made less progress.
