The authority is setting up shop in the Harringay district for those who want to talk about things that get their hackles rising — which also include housing repairs, anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, street lighting and pot-holes in the road.
Police and council enforcement officers are out on street patrol all week Monday to Friday, from July 21 to 25.
An ‘engagement hub’ is being set up in Hermitage Gardens for two hours each day to talk about issues with council staff.
The council’s homelessness and waste enforcement teams are at the arena in Finsbury Park Avenue on Monday, from 2pm to 4pm.
Its anti-social behaviour unit will be at St Mary’s Priory school in Moreton Road, South Tottenham, with the and housing repairs team on Tuesday, 4-6pm, and again on Wednesday with the community safety team at Green Lanes, on the corner of Portland Gardens, from 2pm to 4pm, and a third time on Thursday along with the car parking team at Warrick Gardens, from 1pm to 3pm.
Community safety and hate crime teams are out on Friday at Overby Road, on the corner of Tewksbury Road next to St Ann’s police office, from 4pm to 6pm.
The authority runs the bi-monthly ‘week of action’ at different locations each time. Previous weeks have been in Alexandra Park, Bounds Green, Bruce Castle, Bruce Grove, Crouch End, Highgate, Hornsey, Muswell Hill, Northumberland Park, South Tottenham, Stroud Green, Tottenham Hale, Turnpike Lane and Wood Green.
