Hans Electric in The Broadway has revealed that it will close its doors permanently on January 27.
Victor Kohter, the owner of Hans Electric, announced the closure in October last year, on Facebook with “sad and mixed emotions”.

After 59 years of trading in Elm Park, the appliance shop’s customers have been giving their thanks since the news of the closure.
Victor spoke to the Recorder about the community’s “overwhelming” response to the news.
He said: “It’s been an absolute rollercoaster the last few weeks and Monday is going to be a very difficult day but we’re here together with family and friends, and customers are more than welcome to come in, shake hands and say goodbye.
“It’s very sad, very emotional. I can’t believe the lovely comments and cards that we have had from customers.
“The shop has been here for 59 years, I’ve been here for 45. We’ve made good friends and I’m just gobsmacked at the amount of comments and how many people have said we’ll be missed.”
Victor’s parents founded the shop in 1966 before he took over operations.
When asked about the reasoning for closure, Victor said: “There’s things that are beyond our control and it is very hard, very emotional and very difficult and I am so grateful for the loyal customers that we have had over a number of years.
“All I can say is that I feel we’ve done everything we can but it’s come to time to close.
“We’ve even had gifts like bottles of wine – and I’m not saying I want that! Their words are more than enough.
“I can’t emphasise enough with regards to how customers have come in and made comments – it’s been overwhelming and we’re so grateful.”
