Deven Lakhani has spent a quarter of a century at Hammond Opticians in Enfield, where he has been director since October 2000.
Mr Lakhani said: “It’s been absolute pleasure to serve the Enfield community for the past two and a half decades.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to work with an incredible team and build meaningful relationships with our patients over the years.
“I’m especially proud of how far the practice has come in terms of the level of clinical excellence that we offer at Hammond Opticians and the comprehensive array of services that we provide to ensure that the local community is cared for to the highest possible degree in every corner of their eye health and visual support.
“Being part of a practice that has such strong ties to the community and truly puts their needs first is deeply rewarding, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Hammond Opticians.”

Hammond Opticians, based on London Road, has served the Enfield community since 1932.
Mr Lakhani is the third owner of the practice, following founder Mr Hammond and his son David Hammond.
He qualified as an optometrist in 1991 and has worked mainly in independent practices, developing specialist expertise in myopia management, contact lenses, diabetes, and glaucoma.
Under his leadership, Hammond Opticians has earned a reputation for clinical excellence and has received numerous awards.

To mark the milestone, Hammond Opticians hosted a two-day celebration at the practice on October 3 and 4.
Patients and members of the community were invited to join in, and a raffle was held to raise funds for Enfield Food Bank.
