British Transport Police (BTP) officers have released the images of a man they would like to speak to in connection to the incident which happened on a Piccadilly Line train.
On January 9 around 2pm a man boarded an eastbound service from South Ealing Underground Station.
According to the BTP, he was then approached by another man who offered him alcohol.

The victim turned down the offer, and the man became abusive and aggressive.
As the victim exited the train at Hammersmith Underground Station, he was struck on the head with a wine bottle causing it to shatter on impact.
He suffered deep cuts to his head and required emergency medical attention in hospital.
Detectives believe the man in the images could have information that may assist their investigation.
