The incident happened in Hale Road this morning (January 21) around 5.30am.
Metropolitan Police officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.
The pedestrian, a 31-year-old man was taken to hospital and remains in a “critical condition” according to the Met.
The road remains closed due to concerns around damage to a nearby building.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 05:39hrs on Wednesday, 21 January to Hale Road, N17 following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
“Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.
“The pedestrian, a 31-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
“The road remains closed following concerns around damage caused to a nearby building.”
No arrests have been made at this time.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.28am today (Weds 21) to reports of a road traffic incident at the junction of Ashley Road and Hale Road, Tottenham.
“We sent resources including ambulance crews, a clinician in a response car, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”
