The campaign is being run by second-year students on a ‘health and social care’ course at Barking and Dagenham College to leave as a legacy when they graduate.
“This isn’t just about mental health,” project leader Helen Berends said. “It’s applying what our students are learning and to make a real difference.”
The programme drawn up as part of their curriculum offers relaxed one-to-one support in the student lounge and outdoor sessions to take time away from social media.
Student Khushbu Khan said: “Minds really matter — mental health is just as important as getting your grades.”
Students on other courses such as media, technology and photography also chipped in to help create content and events.
The raffle prizes included Amazon vouchers and meals from the college restaurant as well as haircuts and massages at the beauty course salons.
