The bakery chain’s store in Woodward Road will re-open tomorrow (Thursday 13 March) after closing briefly for a “refresh”.
A Greggs spokesperson said: “We’ve closed the doors of our Dagenham shop for a short period while we give it a refresh.
“The new and improved shop will return to usual service when it reopens to customers.”
Greggs, founded in 1939, now operates more than 2,500 branches across the nation.
According to the Greggs website, the company has three stores in the borough of Barking and Dagenham: in Woodward Road, in Heathway and in East Street.
A nearby branch in Harold Hill recently changed its opening hours to be closed on Sundays and Mondays but a spokesperson confirmed that it will be “returning to full trading as soon as it can”.
Other nearby branches continue to operate at regular opening hours.
The Greggs website says: “At Greggs, we may be known for our classic sausage rolls and steak bakes, but our great quality and delicious menu means that we’ve got a whole lot more covered too.”
