The incident happened near the station’s Piccadilly line entrance at around 5pm on October 25.
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a stable condition.
An investigation was launched and a man was arrested in connection with the incident the following day.
He was later charged with GBH and possession of a bladed article and remanded in custody.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Detectives continue to investigate and ask anyone who witnessed the incident to text BTP on 61016, using the reference 469 of 25 October.
“Information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
