Officers were called to reports regarding a concern for a person’s safety in Green Lanes at 3.50pm on February 23.
South East Coast Ambulance Service crews also attended, however, the man was pronounced dead.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
His next of kin are aware and are being supported by police.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a concern for safety on Green Lanes in Epsom at around 3:50pm on Sunday 23 February.
“Colleagues from South East Coast Ambulance were also in attendance, and sadly a 51-year-old man was confirmed to be deceased at the scene.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious.
“His next of kin are aware and our thoughts are with the family at this time.”
