A total of 16 parks in the borough have won a Green Flag award – an international mark of quality which recognises the best kept green spaces in the UK and across the world.
This is the fifth year in a row that Havering has been home to 16 award-winning parks.
The 2025 winners – including Bedfords Park, Raphael Park, and Upminster Park – were announced on Tuesday (July 15) by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.

More parks and green spaces were recognised this year than ever before, totalling 2,250 across the country.
The Green Flag Award scheme rewards well-managed parks and other outdoor spaces, setting the standard for good management of these spaces across the world.
First launched in 1997, the scheme aims to ensure that everyone has access to high quality green spaces, no matter where they live.
Keep Britain Tidy’s chief executive, Allison Ogden-Newton OBE, said she was “thrilled” to see so many sites meeting the standards for the awards.
She said: “Our quality parks and green spaces make the UK a heathier place in which to live and work, and a stronger place in which to invest.”
