The Channel 4 show is now entering its 25th series, with previous episodes seeing everything from giant curved glass homes to mansions built out of clay and former water towers.
Now, more keen builders are ready to take on the task, not for the faint-hearted, as Kevin travels around the UK to see the new builds in Grand Designs.
The new series kicked off with Sarah and Howard in Worthing, who built their dream “floating home”.
The idea of leaving her beloved street in Barnet behind left 82-year-old Kathryn desolate.

They were followed by Sarah and Pip in Bedfordshire, who brought a “rickety” old barn back to life.
This week, Kevin will meet Kathryn, who wants to build an accessible, ultra-sustainable home.
London widow hopes to build ultra-sustainable home in new Grand Designs
Recently widowed 82-year-old Kathryn is struggling with the stairs in her London Edwardian home that she’s lived in for 60 years with her late husband, Jon.
However, Kathryn does not like the idea of leaving her beloved street and comes up with a plan to build a new accessible home next to her current house.
Kathryn wants to knock down the adjoining garage and build an accessible modern version of her Edwardian house.

The daunting task even leaves Kevin worried, with a tight schedule and the planned budget making the build seem impossible.
Like any Grand Designs project, not everything goes to plan, with far deeper than anticipated foundations needing to be removed, wet weather and unexpected costs.
