Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called at 1pm today (January 3) with reports of the crash in Goresbrook Road.
The incident had occurred at a mini-roundabout joining Goresbrook Road and Gale Street.
An ambulance crew were dispatched to the scene with colleagues from the Metropolitan Police, where a woman was found with injuries.
According to a Met spokesperson, the patient was a passenger in one of the vehicles.

She was taken to a major trauma centre for treatment.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1pm today (3 January) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Goresbrook Road and Gale Street, Dagenham.
“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated a woman before taking her to a major trauma centre.”
